    Turtle Wax Ice... Anyone tried?

I was recently at the local autozone and saw this stuff called Turtle Wax ICE. It was like $19 for a bottle and the applicator. I'm wondering if anyone has used this stuff yet as it seems pretty new, and did it work well?

    Thanks
    -Scott

I have not tried Turtle wax Ice, but I've had good results with the Platinum.
It is very rich looking and cost around $9.00.

I detail cars for a living. I personally dont like to use anything from turtle wax, just because of the fact i have a black car. If i were you i would go to a local detail shop to see what they are using and try to have them get you some. I use this grape smelling wax after i buff my ride and let me tell you for something that doesnt have a name brand it works great. Also i sometimes use a really expensive wax called COLLINITE. Just because it says turtle wax or mothers or meguires doent mean its the best.

Any wax can look great. Its the durablility and consistancy that you're paying for. I used regular old ColorCure by Turtle Wax on my black car and take a look. The downfall is that it doesnt last for very long at all.

    My suggestion: Test it out!

I tried the turtle wax ice last week and is great. Is really not a wax or a polish, more like a UV paint protectant and reminds me of the stuff you spray on tires to get them to shine. You wipe it on the car, let it sit about 10 minutes, use a microfiber cloth to remove it, shines up all plastic parts too, even windows. Turtle wax says not to use it on the front window, since the wipers could get smears if you do. Requires no hard buffing and goes on like putting armour all on the car, then wipes off. I've never seen my cars look this good. Tried it on my silver 02 Z28 and wifes Black pearl car and it looks great on both. Is all I am going to use from now on. Site says you can wax your car with regular wax, then after you wash the car, you can apply the ICE. Once you try it, you will never want to wax a car again.

    tires?

the last thing i did was go around all the cracks and crevices. wiped the weather stripping, and was amazed at the results. that gheto azz armour all and the other kind of products always leaves little jerry curl explosions behind the wheels no matter how much i wipe it off. this stuff doesn't do that, the applicator is always black by the end and i always throw it away, so why not...jet matte black tires are the result....

Well this thread convinced me to give it a try. Seems like it did a good job, I was impressed with it. Simple to use, couldnt ask for much more. Heres a picture of what the finished product looks like.

I tried the Ice - I guess it's the detail spray - and it was great, 1 pump, wipe, no streaks, great shine...I like it a lot. I like it a lot more than the pink shit I had and the Meguier's I used to use...a little Invisible Glass on the windows (which i also recommend) and my whole car was done in about 20 minutes

I have used the ICE now for a month and still like it, water beads off really nice still and has rained here for about 2 straight weeks. Car is much easier to keep clean now and made the plastic trim look new again. I tried the spray ICE once and it did what it is supposed to do, but I like the non spray stuff the best. I kinda see no reason to use the spray stuff since the regular stuff is so easy. I even did some detailing under the hood with it and my bilstein shocks lol
