whats needed for a 9 inch
I was wondering what is absolutely necessary to do a 9 inch swap...I had a shop do it and ive been having issues with the rearend like noisy gears but he keeps saying I need this and that

You will need a conversion u-joint, 2ea 3" exhaust clamps to mount the sway bar, your old Brake Backing plates from your 10 bolt. Not too bad of a install but you will need to "pound" the sheetmetal up around where your torque arm mounts for the torque arm to clear.
I would recomend Motive Performance gears. They are strong and Quiet.2000 SS Camaro Heads, Large cam, Fast 90, 9"w/430's and locker, yada yada yada... you get the picture

My cars has been whining on the highway pretty damn loud and the guy keeps saying its because of the stock u joint but I thought the stock u joint and torque arm would only cause vibrations not whine...also the sway bar is hitting the differential a slight bit
he says i need to change the torque arm also and sway bar

Its your gears not your u-joint that is whining. Ujoints usally clunk and smack.. in my case that is..

yea I was telling him that its the gears that are whining not the u joint!!i hope he takes car of it because im going to be picking her up today...

I already payed the 2500 plus install and what not but the guy doesnt want to fix the gear whine...should I buy a u joint and then maybe hell fix it

well the whine is louder than my exhaust cutout ,veryy annoying...no suspension parts..
