Pewter- 2002 Trans am WS6 T-top
New from Austin, Tx
Well, I cam across this site by accident. I have a 02 pewter WS6 T/A. Its in limbo for warranty work on the motor. I have a 50/50 chance on approval for a new one. I have a back up plan if its denied. Iam keeping a postive attiude about it all.

Pewter- 2002 Trans am WS6 T-top
The oem rocker arm fell apart on number 2 cylinder, in which the arm was sitting cocked eyed enough were the tip was pushing on the retainer itself. The locks bounced out and the valve droped in the cylinder.
I had bad luck with oem rocker arms (orginal set had 54,000) was on my second set (used though 15,000). I had a G5x2 (232/240 dur. 595/608 lift at 112 lobe sep. with crane 144832 dual springs. My next valve train will include the same cam with patriot performance gold springs, and comp cams 1.7 roller rockers.
I know some of you are thinking that the cam is way to big. I know some cars in my area using bigger cams on daily drivers using oem rocker arms with same springs. I would always let car warm up about 5min before leaving anywhere and made sure vehicle had plenty of temp on gauge before engauging high rpm shifting. Any whos I dont blame any manufacture, its something I probably misread or calculated.
