What's the most money you ever lost or won at the Casino?
I rarely ever go to the casino. But like all of us, there are those times when you end up going with friends or to catch a show or something as some places have entertainment.
So anyway, last week went to the casino. I started off betting slow, and by the end of the night I lost $800 on the damn slots. I never win anything at those fucking places. After about $300 losses, I was just playing like a blind addicted gambler, trying to win back my losses. But nothing, lost it all and then some.
What's the most you ever won or lost during a single visit to the casino?

Most lost was $1500
Most won was a little over $12k at craps during a three day two night
When I go I USUALLY at least win the money for the trip
Gotta learn money management

That must have been nice! Maybe I am just a poor player who doesn't know when to quit, but I have the worst luck ever.
I think they tweak those slot machines with software or something. They seem to be artificially intelligent in a strange sort of way... like how they tease you with some early winnings to keep you going and hooked, then they start coming up dry until you are out of cash.

Most Lost $10
Most Won $0
I let my wife borrow $10 for the penny slots. After $10 she was annoyed.
I never got bored enough that I could play the sit there and pull that lever.
The only gambling for me is poker with my friends.
Every guy I know that goes to the casino may get lucky every once in a while (lucky is 2-10K), but the rest of the time he loses big and is working a job only to feed his habit. To me it is a huge waste of time, money, and energy.

sadly I am NOT allowed to gamble because for 8yrs of my design career I designed Slot Machines, jackpot controllers and digital displays for the casino industry.
games likes:
all of the monopoly series
clint eastwood (dirty harry and fistful of dollars)
slotto
men in black
etc.
However I am allowed to play the tables which I like to do anyways. The most I have ever won was $2300 starting with roulette and ending with black jack.
As far as slots, my girlfriend always plays those and the highest she has won was $1100.
I have never lost any money, just always break even.
remember when a house says they have the loosest slots and have a 97% payout, your still losing. What is 97% of a dollar, its 97cents....

now thats funny...
what alot of people dont know is that casino jackpots with slots are linked with other casinos.
For example you might be playing a progressive on the Wheel of fortune slot in Bellagio. Well besides being linked to those 8 other slots next too it. The jackpot controller for the slots may and can be linked to more groups or 8 more slots in 4 other casinos. So talk about really fucking with your odds.
Also the 97% pay out is the average of the house or houses if the casion is linked with others.
that means one slot might be set to 99% and another might be as low as 85%

If all this is true, then it means playing these slot machines is not totally up to chance, as in each machine being standalone and independant of the others. The whole thing is rigged. What can we expect, the people who run these casinos are all white collar criminals, even if they are controlled by the state or have gov'ts oversight. The whole lottery business is crooked and corrupt, and we are the suckers. I just hope these people who run the casinos put some of their winnings into good things for society. I'd hate to think there is some guy walking around with big pockets and multiple mansions to his name.

exactly... they are not rigged as apache suggested. The chance of winning or losing has no strategy whatsoever. Its honestly luck of the pull and landing on the one minute second of pulling a win.
Like you said its a central server that controls many. the nice thing is a jackpot controller does record:
how many times played
how many times payed
what the payout percentage is per slot or bank of slots
these are the too companies I worked for:
digital displays, jackpot controllers, and one link systems
www.paltronics.com
slot machines

i have a question about slots... i went to the casino last weekend... and mainly just sat around and played like $.05 slots and drank beer all night... these were machines that had the option to do up to 5 lines... i would kinda scatter out my bets doing 1-5 lines just by how i was feeling... i never won a thing (not even my bet) when i would bet 5... but like 3 times in an hour when i bet 1-3 lines #4 or #5 would hit BIG!!! well big for $.05 slots... like 5000-6000 nickles... it did it like 3 times while i sat there... would it have done that had i bet 5 lines? or was it just doing that to get me to put in $.25 hoping for a repeat?
i dont trust things with computers in them... am i being paranoid?
and y would it matter if you worked on them? i mean if its all random what can you do by knowing how it works unless there is a payout code you can enter...
