Hey Everyone, does anybody have of a set of black hockey stripes on a Pewtar or Silver Trans Am. I looked but could only find pics of them on camaros. It doesent seem like theres as much room on the front of the T/As but I was thinking about trying it. So Im asking does anyone know of or have any Pics? Thanks

I think theres a good reason there isn't many people that have done it... because it will look like ass... it doesn't match the body curves or lines... don't do it...

You sure you don't mean Blackbird Stripes? They look really good on a WS6

You could try some thin pin stripes? Or I think coloring the TransAm logo black would set it off nicely.

I've been trying to imagine what it would look like on your T/A based off Justin93's pic and it doesn't look good to me. Looks fine on the Z though.
Here's an idea though. Put the stripes on the wrong side of the car. Left on right and right on left. That way you will have the point facing forwards and the larger portion would bend around the rear wheel. It would certainly be different. And I think might look pretty good on your T/A too. IMO

You have the BB stripes. Better to keep it simple.

Thats what I was thinking. Its very subtle and would compliment the BB stripe very well. Dont wanna over to it.

It's a Camaro thing....... Don't do it. Sort of like putting a WS6 ram air hood on a Camaro....
No matter how long you look at it -----it will still look like shit.

doesn't look too bad on the LS1 cars, but it's like a Taboo - it just doesn't belong. like a GT-R symbol on the Mustang.

Its kinda like putting Cobra Rs on a F body :hmm: (which I have seen), it doesnt fit.

I cringe when I see our TA Ramair style hoods on Camaros... no offense to anyone that has it done, I just dont think it looks good IMO.
I just flat out dont think the Hockey Stripes will fit. Our side markers and front bumper body lines get in the way.
Id get your bird and door emblems in all black tho, that will look good... and then maybe some form of subtle design coming off the door emblems. Just a thought. Clear side markers also look good on our cars... I have them lol.

Hey thanks for the input, I think im just gonna put some thin pinstriping and buy the black vinal kits to convert the bodycolor logos and emblems to black. Im also thinkin stanless ram air & vent covers and clear markers.

sounds good, blacking out the marker lights would look good too. but clear would go better with the stainless.

Although mine aren't that thick, I have pin striping on my car.

Looks good! Nice subtle work always looks the best on the TAs... You can only do so much to make them look better.

Just my opinion but if you want more blk on the car then don't do the stainless vents if you wan't change try blk wheels and drop it a little

Thanks! I was hesitant at first leaving the orange on there, but it grew on me; plus I've never seen any other car with a whilte/orange theme going on. :cool2:

I agree with most. Don't put hockey stripes on a TA. if you're going to put some kind of graphics down the side that resemble a popular trend, I'd recommend a door overlay on the "trans am" and maybe some pillar overlays.

Hockey Stick Stripes were designed to emmulate the Stripes used on some `69 Camaro SS's although I don't think it fits the 4th gen's well.
But it's a Camaro only thing.
Heres a pic of the Blackbird Formula Side stripes if your looking to add something different.
