I know someone with a 00 camaro that ran with the stock set up. They had the vortec super charger with intercooler and of corse had it dyno tuned, but they were running 9psi on stock internals making 450 rwhp and had no problems besides the automatic tranny going out of it on the second day!!!

You won't have any problems with 5 to 6 psi of boost. The cam may actually bleed off some boost anyway with it's overlap. You could more than likely run 7 psi of boost, but I wouldn't with the stock rods and pistons, since you already have heads and a camshaft. Bob

I have a procharged 02' WS6 with all stock internals boosting 9psi at 6200 rpm. I've been expecting many problems for some time now, but none has come up yet and i have 15,000 miles on it! Granted, I do not redline it everywhere, but its still doing very well.

That is good to hear. A lot of people never have any problems, but you always hear about the ones that do, it's human nature. Bob

my biggest problem was that i changed my heads and cam someone told me i might have to put my stock heads back on or buy some truck heads to change my compression to use the pro charger. i am trying not to pull my heads and cam out again.
