Referencing the 2004 Standard Catalog of Corvette Book for model years 1953-2005, it says, "A Tremec T56 (MM6) six-speed manual transmission was optional to coupes and convertibles." This was specifically stated for 2002-2004 year Corvettes (non Z06). The Z06 had a different tranny listed.
