Good day members, just recently purchased 98 WS6 TA long tube headers ,373 posi, few more bolt ons ,need to know the converter to use for hot street. Looking to go low 12's, street tires and mufflers.hope that i'm not asking to much of the poncho. The car is super clean 63000 miles adult owned. I bought the bird from a buddy that had a stroke and had mucho medical bills and needed the MONEY. The car is in good hands. Strictly a daily driver with punch. Any help will be handy.

yeah, thats good, but if you dont mind a reduction is fuel milage, a 3600 is the way to go.

I advise looking into a Precision Industries 3600 stall Vigilante converter.

I recommend the Yank SS3600. Its still nice and tight so the engine doesn't rev to the moon for the car to move. But punch it and you'll get set back in your seat. I'm not sure with PI, I've heard that they are looser and the 3600 flashes flashes to 3800rpm. That's only what I've heard and not personal experience.

I own a SS3200 and love it, but will need to go bigger.

a stall in the 3500 rpm range is perfect

i have a vig 3200 and it flashes more towards the 3400-3500 rpm range so you might keep that in mind if your going with a PI...

Either way I would strongly recommend that you install a transmission cooler at the same time as the stall will increase tranny temp.
