Should I just change my fluid or get it flushed? I remember reading somewhere that flushes can be bad for the transmission? :dunno:

I've always just dropped the pan and changed the filter and add new fluid to top it off. I do it fairly regularly so the fluid stays fresh even though dropping the pan only gets about a third out.

Change it...most flushs don't include changing the filter... jus to mention 1 problem I have with these flushes. Hope this helps Dave

i reckomend both, regular changes and a flush from time to time. ive heard that if you do a flush on a higher mileage tranny that has not had a flush it can push junk into lines and ports and can cause problems but ive flushed all the trannies ive ever had and never had this issue

If you've maintained your tranny go ahead and flush it, if not a flush may break loose all the gunk in you tranny and cause internal leaks. The gunk actually becomes part of the seals and a flush can break that up.
