Ok so everyday i go to work this kid is always talking shit, about how fast his POS honda is and everyday after work i pull up next to him and he says i cant im not tuned so bout a week after he says he got it tuned i ask him again but now he says well i dont have boost. I said dude you dont have a fucking turbo u idioit. so anyways he said he would blow my doors off so me three other guys from work and him all went to the local spot where we race and he finally says he will race so i asked him how many spots he want he says heads up (hahaha lmao ) ok whatever so we line up 3 honks he goes i sit there for a sec then i give it hell and with me waiting i still beat him by 3 cars. him being pissy and talking shit about his trans messed up or something he went home and got his brothers nhra trans am and i still beat that by a car and a half lol man people just dont learn A STOCK HONDA WONT BEAT A HEAVY MODDED TRANS AM end of story.......

what he dont know is.......I got long tube headers, and a tune on my car here VERY soon.....so, stock intake LT1, with full exhaust versus bolton new civic........


yeah the stock civic is good for a low 15 on the street.

my car is sittin on eagle f1's at 24 psi, and I bet close to mid 13's on the street.....hahahaha

We have a gray one with a carbon fiber hood and a red one running around here tuned by Dapper Dan....I have seen a small video and heard rumors of a 1000hp evo that used to run around here, it was gray too

if its who i think your talking about he probably ate LS1's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

It wasn't gray, it was black. Most of the videos were when he was running a gt35r turbo, some of the later ones were with a 42r (900+ at the wheels).

I didn't like it with the 42r........too slow of a spool in the street. When it was 2.3L on the 35r it was perfect, like 650 at the wheels.

Yeah? Well he was racing Kenne Bells and Whipples, so I guess you need some other things besides displacement to be fast. Here's a news flash for YOU. There's more to being fast then displacement.

Well its like this, My buddy that has a 600HP turbo mustang just recently built a honda LOl He's and all around guy, but he built it as a DD. He has a Total of 1800$ in this car.

Has a b18B integra motor with trans, Turbonetics turbo Tial wastegate, Block guard, ETC, (Most all of the parts were used he put on it) But on street tires it will run 8.80's 1/8th mile (Spinning threw 3rd) Of course you cant hook a honda LOL, But he put a set of slicks on it and went 7.90's @ 93MPH,Which Impressed the Shit out of me.

If you look at track times compared to a Trans am or camaro they average from 8.20's-8.80's in the 1/8th, From slightly modded to stock.

If your looking at the price of build between the two, There is No comparing. Hell he bought the car and built it ALL for 1800$, You cant buy a set of heads for a Ls1 for that. Plus it gets 28MPG all around.

Im not Sticking up for the Honda guys cause I know How Stupid the are sound ETC Just stating If someone Really knew what they was doing and pieced together a honda, it could be fast!! It has been proven.

I think his point was that a lot of people on LS1 use the price argument in their favor on this site. Now that he's beat that down it's "You're still driving a Honda".

There is a huge difference between an F-body and a Honda. A clean late model WS6 looks nice even next to A Ferarri or Porsche, the styling and design are classic.

The same can't be said for ANY Honda, they look like shitty grocery getters no matter what you do. And the more you modify them appearance wise, the worse they look. Some cars were never meant to look nice, and Hondas are some of those cars.

I'd rather have a nice car thats fast than have a shitty car thats fast. I thought that was common sense, but apparently its not always. Going for the sleeper look is one thing, but you will never get the same respect with a fast POS as you will with a fast ride that looks just as at home in a car show as it does on the strip. And thats the beauty of the Muscle car.

Its all in what you can afford. That is Basically what it all boils down too. You Price a Ws6 add full coverage insurance and you got a Pretty big payment on your hand. Alot of people cant Afford. Vs a Grocery Getter Honda!! A Dime a Dozen!! I Agree with Wesman!! There is No better looking ride than a ws6! One of my Favorite all time cars, If I could Afford one I would have it as a DD. And keep my 240sx as my track car!!

Im currently looking for a Ws6, But There hard to find with a Decent price!! Everyone wants Way over what you can get a loan for.

Eh, I think WS6s are pretty ugly, but I really love the Camaro... Thats just me. I will give a Honda props if its fast and tastefully done, meaning no crazy body kit, stupid wheels, or stickers. If its just dropped and has some power, thats cool. Not for me, but whatever.

Nice kill. Although modded Hondas (except for maybe an NSX or S2000-- wink, wink) aren't exactly my cup of tea, I do respect the ones out there that are legitimately fast (i.e. built motor, turbo, etc.).

I think I'm speaking for most of us on this site in noting that the problem stems from the ridiculous number of drivers out there with a couple stickers, a big wing and a fart can muffler that THINK they are driving the fastest thing in the world! More often then not, they end up running their mouth to a guy who's putting down twice the amount of power they're making at the wheels. After getting their a$$ handed to them in a race, many ricers compound the problem by coming up with a laundry list of excuses as to why they just lost. Remarkably, the one excuse that you seldom hear is the simple acknowledgement that they lost because their car simply isn't as fast as the one they raced.

I have a car that's relatively quick when compared to most cars on the road, however you wouldn't catch me running my mouth at the track on Friday night -- there's ALWAYS something faster. If I were in a stock Civic, I would exercise considerably more discretion in choosing to keep my mouth shut. HAHA!

Unless you have a fully gutted EF or CRX or some kind of ugly bubble with a K20 then its going to require a turbo. Also with the turbo you need some supporting mods and a boost controller so you can make a few runs with high boost and some weight reduction all to keep or or beat a stock or lightly modded 4th gen f-body. You can never build a honda and keep its reliability as well as one of our cars. Yea I can respect some of them if they are built right and clean no fart can mufflers, body kits and all that Fast and Furious shit.
