putting the 12 bolt in soon Mr Lous. the gears been whinning all day... I think they're done. Strager bolt going in soon. freaking new rear 12bolt, gears 3:73 for $2.3k... that's gonna hold up great! then I can take it to track with confidence.

Mr. Luos
05-05-2007, 10:11 PM
That will make a big difference.

I went Moser 9" with mine. Heard about too many 12 bolts popping with high powered M6 cars.

djvaly

offtopic: I put the tq arm and adj panhard bar last Saturday and I think that tighten the rear end better and got better traction so the gears gave in. too much torque, it has maxed out for stock bolt

djvaly
05-05-2007, 10:15 PM
so instead of spending 250 on new gears and 400 labor, to screw the gears again in 2 months, I'll slap down 2k and do it right and not keep throwin 600 every few months. cool ;)

I dyno'd today on a mustang dyno and put down a pathetic 322hp/332trq. I guess it was okay for just a lid and slp loud mouth. But hey, all the more reason to get those mod's on I have sittin in the garage.

u mean 322rwhp... that's about right for a lid and an ok catback

When I dyno'd mine for the first time with SLP lid and SLP Loud Mouth (exact mods as you), I put down 327/334 to the rear...

I got my car tuned @ Speed Inc today, as always, everything is perfect with the tune! A big thanks to the guys @ the shop!!! The car drives perfect & I am happy with the numbers.

My car is a '99 Camaro SS, A4 with a 3500 stall, 3.73 gears, Speed Inc SI5 cam, TEA 5.3 stage 1.5 heads, LS6 manifold, long tubes, off road y w/ cutout, SLP crank pulley, SVO 30# injectors, Racetronix intank pump w/wire kit and a few other minor mods...

420hp/388tq (Too bad I need the good heads to make the same #s as a stock headed M6 :) )

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Unstang/1999SSA4NA.jpg

The car went 11.70s NA last year, it made 402hp then, so I might be able to improve.

it went well. did not redyno yet, I wanna give it a month or two for the motor to break in more...and retune after... It pulls much stiffer, I did the panhard, tq arms and the new rearend bolt. I'll repost the dyno sheet when I redyno in a month or so....

Thanks....Sorry for the multiple posts...Didn't know the mods had to check some vids/posts before they are allowed...Anyway, I'm not a big fan of dyno numbers as they are just that...The track mph has always been my true test of whats going on with the motor...I've beaten many folks with way more dyno hp...They are a nice tuning tool, though...

Probably down on dyno numbers a little bit....even with it broken in.

To a point, I wish I knew exactly how much the Moser 9" lowered my dyno numbers.
Bet it would be close to 30RWHP. 2-3% is a lot when you are making over 500.

I know the Moser lowered my track times by at least .5 seconds. Don't care about the dyno numbers other than for tuning.
