I am sure it would be fine - it would come down to the calibration - we use EFI Live but still use the MAF - we have not converted this car to 2 bar

My only dyno run was at a car show for 15$. It was a dyno jet and i put down 308 rwhp. My only mods are: LT's, no cats, magnaflow muffler, and a SLP lid. I think i need a good tune but i dont know of any shops near or around Southern Illinois. My car also has 120,000 miles on it.
If anyone has any info on a good shop around Southern Illinois Id appreciate it

NOOBIE on the forum and this is my first post here so no stone throwing but from my experience, and not to really knock the Dynojets, but they DO have a tendency to be a little high in their numbers. Mustang dynos, SAE corrected, are generally much more "realistic" numbers. I just had both done on my 99 Corvette FRC which has been put back to basically stock (TPIS LT headers, hi-flow cats, etc, LS6 intake, Callaway Honker air box).
Dynojet numbers - 386RWHP / 365TRQ (95deg, 42% humidity)
Mustang numbers - 341RWHP / 340 TRQ (98deg, 44% humidity)
Just my observation but has anyone else noted this kind of disparity between a Dynojet and any other frame dynos?

A guy who owns and operates his own dyno answers your question like this.
"The biggest problem w/ comparing MD to DJ is most of the time the MDs are load contol and being compared to DJ inertia. If all info into the MD LC is not absolutely accurate(also like the DJ LC), you will get differences.
-One of a perf. shops little tricks, change the vehicle weight input, even by a hundred pounds will skew the numbers quite a bit to show the part they just sold you did something for HP.
I dont have a problem w/ either one, they are both industry leaders(I just happen to prefer DJ) The main problem is inept or corrupt operators. If you go on a Load Control Dyno, your car better be weighed, with the person in it doing the testing. Go over all the parameters with the operator to make sure you are getting what you paid for.
Here is the last word, the numbers w/ our Vette we got on our Dynojet inertia, were virtually identical to a MustangDyno load control when all the correct run parameters were put in. But on the other hand, with MD being only a couple miles from our homebase and Dynojet being 2500 miles away, and I picked the Dynojet- draw your own conclusion."

I used a different dyno than you guys. it was a dynoperformance brand or something like that. I've got to look again at my sheets. This guy said this is the most accurate dyno and dyno jet typically dynos 15-17% higher. I'll get that name for you guys later. just dynoed this morning...
100% stock 272rwhp(they call this dyno the ego buster, I bet you see why)
272rwhp on this dyno =s about 313rwhp on dynojet
then we did another one with my lid and k&n filter
lid+filter = 287.7rwhp=s about 330rwhp dyno jet
my 100% stock flywheel hp was about 354hp
I'll do a lot more mods and tune before I go again.

for what you've got your hp and torque sounds low, maybe that's the most you can do without a tune.
by the way the dyno I used was a dyno dynamics. I heard it's the shit. it can do 1/4 runs and more!
with just a lid and k&n I'm on about 330rwhp on the dynojet

Mustang dynos tend to dyno lower.
DynoJets are said to give slightly bloated numbers.

that's up from 376rwhp/366rwtq...
i thought that i would have gained alittle more, closer to the 425 range but the cam they 'flow matched' is a 226 cam, but not sure of the rest of the specs. i haven't had the chance to drive her hard and see how much a diffrence there is yet because it's been raining since thursday night...lol I had video of the dyno run that i will post up a link too...

if u can get a Fast intake that will free up 10-15rhwp more over the LS6 intake manifold. try to find a used Fast intake.,.. the new one are expensive. I got the new one because replaced the ls1 one, but moving ls6 to Fast LSx..hmm maybe too costly...

My first time ever on the dyno today:
98 Z28 A4, Lid, K&N, 3" Catback, HPP3
HP 312, Torque 390at the wheels.
I think german dynos are different than US ones...
Stock HP of my Z28 is 288 at the engine, mine tested 363 today... ?!? (certified shop though)

your ws6 is 300-310rwhp stock. a T/A non ws6 would be 285-290rwhp stock.
Negative. Both are about the same stock.
A4 will dyno slightly lower than the M6 though.

380 RWHP out of a bolt-on car??? No way in hell.

i dyno stock 290rwhp, while ws6 00-02 have ls6 intake, and ram air... i see most ws6 00-02 people claim 300-310rwhp
 also on the 380rwhp n/a question... I was at 368rwhp with almost full bolts on, but still on stock heads and cam... check my sig... so if i added heads/cam, my na setup would have been 400rwhp on a4. :yup:
btw now i am on 402 motor, with supporting mods at 475rwhp... not bad for A4... 600 at crank...

This was on an 00 6spd Vette.
From what I remember... it had a Fast Intake, Full Bassani Exhaust, no cats, Vararam, Electric Pump, Pulley, free mods, LS1 edit, clutch &flywheel, etc. It was on also on a Dynojet. The Heads and cam were stock though. :true:

I guess on a DynoJet it might get that high. That is more than the average bolt-on car, but it still qualifies.
Impressive. I would like to see the chart if possible.
DJ...You dyno'd right on for a stock A4 of any year. The 310'ish' numbers are from M6 cars of any year.
Mine is a 1999. Catback and lid - 320/333
Never did get a stock baseline.
DJ...remember, I also have a 402. :yum:

you putting 530rw on M6, god bless good number for 402 stroker...
mine is undergoing the extensive tune and motor break in a bit for the last 2 days, they said 480rwhp is top and hapenning on the A4 on that 402, remember 3000 stall robs me 20rhwp and well 30rwhp because of A4 vs M6. but I gained good acceleration on 3.73:woo: but yeah what a dyno day yesterday... that bish screams... it's like watching a baby being born, camera / action... :Pics:

475rwhp and 450tq, dynoed at LG Motorsports in Wylie TX. so A4 and stalled 3000, that i figure 600-610hp at crank with 18-20% loss.

http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u118/DjValy
I got one of the pulls chart after tune 469rwhp and 450tq I need to get to work on Monday the USB cable for the camera is at work, I'll post that chart too. the guys said give it a few months to break in the engine and I'll see closer to 480 numbers. The SLP cai in not in the dyno because their jet fans were not working, they need to service them...
