Oil questions

I've got a 468 big block in my car with many mods over 500 hp. What's the best engine oil for me to be running?

Previous owner used straight 50 purple royal with some lucas additive. The shops near me dont carry that brand/weight, wondering if a 60 weight would be better without the lucas additive?

All of the big blocks (502's mainly) I know run Amsoil 20-50.
