11's are easily obtained from a naturally aspirated motor and slightly modified chassis/suspension.....been done many times man.....you need around 500-600 RWTQ and get it to the ground....nitrous will save you some money and maintain a daily driver friendliness to the equation...

I'm there with a 100 shot and a heads/cam setup....

You could do it with some bolt-ons and a 75 shot.

Don't even need heads or cam to break an 11...just a full exhaust, tires, small shot of nitrous and maybe a couple of other things...you're there.

a gto weighs more than a f-body.
my car weighed in at 3380, no weight reduction.
a 150 shot with a 3500 stall and traction will put him in 11.20s-11.40s. ive seen it personally.

i'm just about in the low 11s with the black car.
SLP airlid
K/N filter
Bassani tru-duals
4.10 gears
Yank PY3400E converter
200 motor rated n20
wife's car is low 11s
lid
filter
MAF ends
heads
vinci/crane 1.8 accelerated lift rockers
vinci 062 cam 210/218 .551/.551 112 LSA
bassani headers
cats
tru-duals
Yank SS3200
3.73 gears
150 n2o motor rated
you pick which way you want to go. of course, you won't need to buy a converter.

Thats impressive times on a stock 10 bolt. I figured it would have broke with all those mods. If this is a common occurance then thats great for me becasue Im kinda afraid of braking mine with my new cam and my 3600 stall.

autos are more forgiving than mauals. or is it the driver's of each car? :p poeple with manulas tend to shock the rears harder due to dumping the clutch. there are people that run 10s on stock 10 bolts. on jan 21st, i hope to be added to that list. :D

i drive the car on the track. she drives it the rest of the time. nitto 245/50-16 is what i've run so far. for the jan 21st track rental, i'll be using MT ET Streets 26x10.50-16

I think alot of people on here must think that everyone can be a gifted driver. For one the guy has an M6, which ain't all that easy to launch.
Anyways, author, if you wanna run low 11's then do a cam swap, suspension upgrades, minor bolt ons (Like lid and true dual exh.), gears (3.73's), and a 100 shot. The stock suspension sucks ass. At the bare minimum get some lower control arms and a panhard rod. Oh, you'll also need drag radials. Ain't no way you are getting traction with over 500 ft./lbs. of torque to the pavement on street tires. This is just my opinion though. Now Keliente is gonna post about her 1.9 sec. pass on street tires (I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!!) :p

If it makes you feel better (or worse), I pulled consistent low 1.8 60 foot times in my completely bone stock m6 04 gto with the stock all season tires.

youll need 420rwhp to run low 11s w/ out any weight major reduction.
easiest and fastest way will be N2O.
im going for it w/ Cam only, and bolt ons.
mine is a DD and still getting 26 mpg
mrr23

it also depends on what state you are in. i'm at 460 rwhp.

in my opion the ultimate m6 daily driver would be:
lid - full exhaust- and 100 kit. maybe more gas w/ a wet kit once your comfortable spraying. this also would be an ideal sleeper on the street if you have that gas hidden pretty decent because m6 pull hard from rolls and nitrous and m6 both help your big end.
my buddies m6 went 11.1 w/ lid full exhast and 125wet- but that was on tires and he spray out the hole and pulled a 1.70 sixty foot.
my a4 went 11.4 @ 120.1 w/ 1.58 60' with full exhaust 100dry and vig 3200 sprayin the shit out it off the launch.
both of these cars are on stock suspenion...
but keep in mind these times are at HRP which is at sea level...
by the way not to step on any toes but:
i dont buy this rwhp/ rwtq crap that these guys are sayin.
every car is completely different depending apon
weight of the car
driver
tires/ suspenion
altitude
weather conditions
and there is a 30 rwhp window that every car comes from the factory - in other words not every motor makes the same exact power.... agree?
Demonicbird00
01-08-2006, 08:40 AM
correct.
cause im only at 343 rwhp and im running high 11s.
thats why i stated w/ no weight reduction that 420 will get you there. and yes location is key too.

You could always get a new Z06 and some drag radials and call it good. ;)
My buddy's 2002 Z06 has gone 11.58 at 119 and the new ones have 100 more ponies...
