92 octane exists?

Tonight I got my first tank of 92 octane EVER. I bought my first Z in 2000 when I was 17 years old, had one every since then and have never seen higher than 90 at the pump, never even SEEN it. I've been living on 90 wishing the Texas panhandle would catch up with the rest of the world. Now, in my sixth year of owning a Z I've struck gold

Im in Killeen, and use 93 octane from Shell.. You should have a shell there, they all have it.

Here in Alaska, we have 92 all day long and 93 in a couple of spots. I was born and raised in the Lone Star State. We had a place on I-30 in Carrollton called Superfuels. For a price you could drive up and pump 100 octane unleaded. You could get straight race gas out of the pumps, but you couldn't pump it into the car unless it was on a trailer. We got around this by parking in the lot next door, taking a couple of cans to the pump, and pouring it in 25 feet away. Man, I miss home. Nowadays, it's good to know someone at the airport, if you know what I mean.

Any place that has a dragstrip should have at least one pump with 100+ octane unleaded. You'll pay dearly for it though. I once lived in Albuquerque NM for a 2 year period (had to move to take a job, was laid-off) and I couldn't find anything above 92 octane. They claimed that you didn't need anything more than that because of the altitude; you couldn't use the extra octane and your engine wouldn't knock (which it never did so it seems they were right about no knocking at least).

I get gas at a shell two blocks from here, 90. 7-11s that sell Fina are the only places here with 92 as far as I know. I had a guy tell me that there is one shell here with 93 and another guy told me he was wrong, I'm gonna go by there and see though. If he's right that's one, one in a town of 200,000 and many shell stations, I don't understand it

here in ct we have 93 at all gas stations, we even have one station that sells race fuel (110) octane leaded, its like 7bucks a gallon tho. idk if leaded gas would harm my car

I'm in New Jersey and we have 93 "Ultra" and 92 "Super" at Sunoco stations. Only $2.35 a gal for the "Ultra"... :burnout:

The Amoco stations near me have their "ultimate" grade which is 94 octane. It's always like 50 cents a gallon more expensive than the premium (92 octane) is.

93 here. I can get 110 from an engine shop, but it costs 5 bucks a gallon. I mix to get about 100 octane and its about 65 bucks a tank. I usually only do that in the summer, but damn does it help when you're running 10.5:1 compression and a lot of spark.

93 here is pretty common, and if I want a little higher, I go to a
small airfield nearby, I believe it's 110 they sell there, and I get it for $2.50.

92 seems to be the highers in this area. I use to fill up with 94 back home all the time. There is a gas station back where I live that has 110 octane but you cant put it directly in you car at the gas station because it is illegal for street use.
