not once but twice this kid on the highway kept fucking with me.
he kept along side of me for about a mile or so an kept goosing it. now mind you im driving along minding my own business listening to nine inch nails but enough was enough.
he goosed it again and i floored it. we were doing about 60mph and i just pulled away hard. by the time i hit about 100 i had a good 5 cars on him.

he didnt have enough the first time around so once again at around 60-65 we both gun it and i just start pulling away like the last time. i had plenty of room ahead of me this time around and kept on my car till about 120. he was way back and :Owned:
i know at the very least he had a fart can exhaust.

first off, don't like it, then complain to the higher ups. if that don't get you what you want, then leave. you are one of my biggest contributors to the issue at hand.

if you don't like them, fine. most of us don't want to read a 3 paragraph essay on how crappy they are built, how they can't handle added power without breaking all of the time, their major turbo lag, and most importantly, all of the butthurt and redneck insults flying around.

you have a problem with a member on here, take it to PMs, the streets, or anywhere else other than someone's thread thus taking it off course and ruining it. i won't tolerate anymore of the inuendos and such that have been taking place recently.

I think you are targeting the wrong people. This is the street racing kills section, what good is it if nobody can make any comments without some import kid getting offended??

You'll notice that when certain import representitives aren't around, there are ZERO problems. Why not focus your attention on policing them instead of the general LS1 population, many of who don't favor imports?? Generally a Domestic based site has tougher rules against import trolls than their own members, here it seems to be the opposite for some reason. The import kids can talk smack about our cars 24/7 and brag about how great theirs are, but the minute someone makes a dig against and 240 or Evo, they get warned and/or banned.

I suppose I just don't understand the reasoning here. Maybe you could explain it, since the rules in this section are set by you and are much more stringent than the main LS1.com rules.

I've never talked shit about anyone's LS1. I've raced many of them and I've never had a problem with anyone at my track minus one dude with a c5 Corvette that I beat. You didn't use my name specifically but I think that you're insinuating that I cause problems on here.

Was it from a reply they left after my post with the little :hifinger: guy...? Because to be fair, (and not knowing the history/seeing the replies after that post) should I have not recieved a warning also? the typical evo/sti owners i have come across are your teenagers and guys in their early 20s with some work on their cars but not heavily modded.

My friend just put meth injection on his STI. It's still nothing impressive IMO. 35k car, with about 6k in mods and it can finally run where my old 02 bolt on, 4.11, tuned WS6 was.

last year i ran an STI and i know at the very least he had a BOV and exhaust.
he had the jump on me and i just went around him like nothing, i was kinda shocked because i figured he would of put up a better fight.

It's mind bottling to me. We know a guy who has a black Evo 9 with meth and he pulled on my WS6 from a roll and he had less mods than the STI did. They are fun cars to drive, way nicer interior than the Evo's, again in my opinion. but when it comes to modding with that money he has invested it should be way faster. He still claims to be able to whoop on V8's all day long, I'd like to see him run into Mrr23 one day or line up with a cobra. Picking on GT's is nothing.

BOV isn't a power mod just so you know. If you could hear the BoV more then likely he's running a VTA BoV which is actually poorer for the car.

The VTA (Vent to Atmosphere if I remember right) are worthless for cars. They let go of all pressure and it makes the turbo work harder. That is to my knowledge I'm sure 4tun8 knows more about it than I do. Recirculating valves are what most turbo cars have.

Both of you are wrong. A blow off valve is a device that was set into place to reduce lag between shifts and to save the life of a turbo. Prior to cars having a Diverter Valve or a Blow off Valve when a person would lift off the gas during boost the throttle plate would close and the boost pressure would only have one place to go...........back through the turbo backwards.

This is bad for turbos and causes lag between shifts since the turbo has to firstly stop spinning backwards before it can build boost.


VTA blow off valves are GREAT and most of the best blow off valves are VTA, the Tial 50mm for example. However this is only true with cars that use speed density calculations as part of the cars fueling system. If the car uses Mass Air metering like most cars do.......VTA will cause conditions that are a hinderance.

Most true performance enthusiests that have Metered cars will recognize a person using a blow off valve as being a ricer and they just want to hear the sound. I have a great diverter valve on my car but over my external wastegate and the fact that it recirculates............you'll probably never hear it.

IMO 2 turbo's are only efficient when you have BIG cubic inch and 1500+ Hp, Otherwise 1 Single will do the job for alot Cheaper.

I was thinking something that would spool up fast for street use on a 454 LSX build. I've always heard 2 smaller twins would be better on the street than one big one. I could be wrong though. I didn't to much research yet seeing I still need to get to the motor first. I've got the rear now so next is a built 6 speed and clutch.

With such a big motor you don't notice turbo lag because you're already making so much power, that's why twins is kind of meh.

Force feeding the LS1 is way out of reach at the moment, but I am looking into it in the future. I know when you hear v8 you think "supercharger" but it seems like a TT setup is becoming more popular for our engines/cars. Can somebody explain to me why?

Here at My local track you never seen a turbo car until the last 2 years, There is now around 10+ v8 BAD ASS turbo cars, and a Few Imports That are really stepping up the game, I enjoy watching them all run. Were all kinda like family at the track also, its cool cause when one of us Break, No matter if its Domestic or import EVERYONE pitches a hand in to help.

a guy in a local import tune shop put it like this to me... a super charger is cool but as you mod your more limited as underdrive over drive of the pulleys but a turbo set up is more capable of growing with your set up... plus i think turbo are cool...lol

hmmm The only way I know how to explain it is Most Stock Factory Intercooled cars are like when you have a cold and Can't breathe very well, The Aftermarket intercooler and piping usually lets it Breathe Alot better, Results in more Efficient power. You might tell a Difference when pulling a steep hill and possibly pick up MAYBE a tenth at the track. So i wouldn't say huge difference but yes it does help. But the Evo's might react a little better to it the the normal car.

just the tubing.......maybe it's different on the X but I doubt the pipes are going to make a huge difference.

That's not entirely true. I happen to know a lot about Evo's and my friend owns a 06 IX. With a full exhaust (mainfold, dp, turbo-back) and boost controller he put down 354awhp with a tune. The Evo really responds well to bolt ons, considering a stock dyno is probably around 240~260awhp. Now he has meth injection, cams, bigger front mount, still on stock turbo but with an FP Green ready to install and i'm scared until I go heads/cam :Potty:

Sorry to double post, but my other friend has an 08 Evo X. You should have no problem taking him out stock. Those cars run 14's from the factory. With full bolt ons and tune they're only putting down about 300awhp and they weigh close to 4000lbs. The tuners can't properly tune the car yet because there isn't great software out.

With full bolt ons and tune they're only putting down about 300awhp and they weigh close to 4000lbs. The tuners can't properly tune the car yet because there isn't great software out.
