The lens looks impressive, but the actual lights look cheap, and for a grand everything better be top of the line

If you look at the low beam wattage specs, the total light output is no better than your stock headlights! I want something with more output, even if I have to settle for the stock beam coverage (light pattern produced by the bulb/reflector). More wattage = more light, pure and simple. The high beams, though, are almost twice the wattage of the stock bulbs. One question you'd have to ask: would you need to rewire the headlight circuit & put in a relay to handle the additional power? Engine aside, GM is notorious for designing some car components to "just barely fit the need", just good enough to do the job with not much reserve left over. Reminds me of an Oldsmobile station wagon my Dad had. He purchased the car brand new, custom optioned: after 2 weeks use of the car the trans wouldn't shift into 4th gear. Turns out GM was experimenting with a cheaper trans never designed for a station wagon's use. It failed early on, they put in the correct trans under warrantee and we never had a further problem. GM and all the other car manufacturers know what it takes to make parts & components last; do they have the customer's best interest or their financial interests in mind..... hmmm. Second story: look at any Toyota 4Runner that has a chrome rear bumper (1990+ vintage). If you live in a state that puts salt on the roads during the winter season, I guarantee that the bumper is rusting out or the chrome is starting to peel.....

Yea, definately! A firebird looks more like a bird, where the Camaro looks like a catfish or something, hehe. I'm sure they'll make a more top of the line conversion soon for the bird... It's about being aerodynamic and all that junk right?

Well there is a company who is developing the C6 series projectors for out T/A's and here's a few concept pix of them.... I also have these pix posted in another thread also!
This is a better pix of what the C6 lights COULD look like on our cars...

I would much rather worry about the lift motor than put those ugly ass things on my car. I think the 98-02 T/A's look meaner than hell with the lights up.

I mean they look absolutely sexy IMO . But look at all the negative feed back they've gotten. They said they had problems with the lens melted and everything was cheaply made.
If everything was done right and the highest quality of products were used they MIGHT be worth $1,000. But realisticly now they're only worth about $300 at the most I would say.
