I got my car back a few days ago from the cam install and tune and they said that it was tuned a few years ago with 3.73 gears. I didnt know i had gears. And i noticed when my car is coasting it kinda whines. Is this due to the gears?

I didnt really notice it but since i got my new tires 4 or 5 months ago i now notice it. But my tuner said that it sounds like when you drive it, that it has 3.73 gears. I take that back it doesn't really whine it kinda whistles.

are you an auto? and what RPM are you running at 65-70?

Ya im an auto um im gonna say around 2 to 2.5 no higher.

you might mine is at about 2200-2300 at around 70 and i have 3.73s. mine also whine.

im going to have to say thats bs motive gears whine in any thing some dont but more do.. even in jeeps and stuff they do... mine sing to me from 50-70

I have installed both Motive and GM gears. Never had them whine if you set them up right.
