Rebuilding stock transmission?

Is there any way to rebuild and beef up the stock 4l60e transmission with a kit, or would I just have to order a completely new one with a beefier tranny?

You can rebuild the stock trans to handle much more power. I had my local transmission shop (which the owner is a Rustang nut, but I don't hold it against him) rebuild mine 4 years ago and its handled my power levels fine see sig.
