I ran my buddies 2.93-pullied/Stiegemeier-Ported Eaton 03RedFire Cobra last night. I was kind of suprised with the results. Couldn't help but to share this story with the opposing crowd to get their insight on it. To my suprise they were actually really cool, and showed a lot of gratitude. Anyways, thought I'd say that since Mustang guys are more kewl about things, IMO. BTW, your curves(nice and flat) on your Dyno is amazing. All the power is there and stays with ya. I was in stubborn/competition mode last post to notice it. I'm gonna have to jab at cha now though. I didn't know your numbers were with a 125 shot???? See? Bottles and Boost aren't that bad are they?

Is that 380rwhp with just cams? Or ported heads as well? Anyways, I found few S197 GT's that put up some pretty impressive numbers. They are so much more responsive than the older 2-valves. I mean like, I was reading an old MM&FF "Naturally Aspirated Modular Shootout" and some of those 2-valves were trapping around 109 with cams and heads. Ouch!

That's the thing. I won't run out of gas. I've got a direct port system. It's good for over 300hp, plus I have some more mods sitting for the motor. ;)

Unfortunately, Once you add more power, the other parts of the drivetrain gets jealous and needs daddy's attention too.

True. My tranny already slips slightly at part throttle. At WOT it runs fine. I'll be buying Trans-Star's Stage 5 700R4 which is supposed to be able to take anything you throw at it (well pretty close to anything ;)) Before that, i'm going to put some more suspension mods into the convertible.

Well my tranny right now doesn't slip under full throttle. It does however slip on me during part throttle/normal cruise, more so in the 1-2 and 2-3. I get my trannies from Trans Star located down here in Sacramento, CA. Stage 5, 4, 3 etc. is just how they rate their trannies based upon strength.

Your right. This is not the first termy i've beaten. I raced a guy last year with a black '04 that was pullied/tuned. He claimed to have made 45x rear-wheel which is a right on par for a pullied Cobra. I had no bottle in the car that night. I held him by a fender the entire race. It had to be the weight difference.

the LS1 has better flow and compression over the LT1 that i know of. my 90 GT vert used to at least hang with my boys 96 Z. Now an LS1 would kill my 90 easily. My 99 Cobra had issues beating LS1's but it would RAPE his 96 by about 5 cars every time.

I don't know about that, I ran a buddies '01 Cobra in my old '97 SS M6 when it was bone-stock. He had Borla cat-back. I would take him by 2-3 cars everytime, from a dead and roll.

The 7.2/97 eighth run was done with a 125-shot. The system is a NOS 'Noszle' direct port, so i've got plenty more room left to spray. I have the 200-shot jets in, a nasty set of heads sitting, as well as a Victor EFI manifold, plus some other goodies. That oughta do the trick.
