Beat an 2004 RX-8

my cars an 02 A4 trans am with just magniflow catback and SLP cai, im on my way home from work tonight and i see these xenon headlights in my rear view mirror. he passes me but doesnt keep going to fast (im going the speed limit around 55) and he kinda slows down as we come into some traffic, well i pass him back and start to go through the traffic just to see if he wants to keep up. he takes the bait. when we get outta traffic he passes me again but i couldnt tell if he had gone wide open yet so i just give chase until i look down at my speedo and realize im already doin about 85mph, then im like oh ok and nail and pass him doin around 120mph. When i slow down he comes up beside me and we pull into a parking lot and talk. turns out i could tell him more about his car than he could, he was a kool guy though, i told him some stuff that he could do and places where he could go to find out more about his own car. before i left he wanted me to pop the hood and rev my engine once and when i did he said "thats why you beat."

I have seen some real nice looking ones but they got no power even with a turbo kit they barely make like 250hp to the wheels. Not a good car to buy if your interested in speed!

Yeah you beat a mid to high 14'sec car. Mazda never made a drag car, but it is one hell of a track car.

:lol: Hope yours can drive better than mine! I moved her from an 06 Eclipse GS to an 07 Eclipse GT and it's scary having her with that much power. I can just imagine what would happen if she had rwd and real power. I wish I could get mine into racing. So far no go. At least it's something I can do alone with my buddies.

OMG DUDE, Thats all my woman wants to do, Hell She gets upset when I go to the track without her LOL, Guess im lucky.

She actually drives pretty good, I let her Drive my old 383 Stroked Trans am at the track and She was cutting better lights than me HAHA, But I sold the car to my buddy and she got mad cause i sold the toy, She's good with an Automatic, But if it involves a clutch she is still a little shaky, The car I run at the track is 5 speed, She enjoys riding with me, But its also faster than the trans am was so she enjoys that also.

Main thing is we both can have fun. We could live at the track and never have a problem LOL.

^Sounds like you hit the jackpot there, Sleeper.

I saw an RX-8 all riced out weaving through interstate traffic just to catch up with me and he sat parallel with me for awhile and I just did not want to waste my gas on this toolbag. He finally took off and continued weaving, etc. just to take the same exit I did and I was just 1 car behind him at the light. Makes me wonder why people drive aggressively and piss everyone off. If it really got you to your destination any faster could understand but it doesn't! Besides, I'd rather get somewhere late and in one piece than end up with a ticket, in a ditch, or worse.

Sorry for the rant! Way to go OP!
