Occasional Wierd Shifting

2001 A4 SS. 85k miles.

OK this is the 3rd time the car has done this.

Driving and shifting normally in stop -go traffic.

Then trans starts holding gears too long and shifting hard.

ASR light comes on and car continues shifting funny.

Turn car off. Let it sit for just a moment. Fire it back up and all is back to normal. May run fine for another month or 2.

I'm sure this is a sensor getting flaky.

I was thinking TPS or maybe VSS?

Anyone experienced this or have any other thoughts?

Got a P0122 TPS low voltage code.

Is there an adjustment procedure for a new TPS or is it just bolt-on and go?
