so I left the car at the shop, barely made it there while on my way home from work. The transmission is grinding horribly and causing the car to lurch. It just sounds like metal slamming into eachother....it did this one time before but wasnt as bad. All of a sudden it stopped and didnt do it again. Until Today.....i thought the damn trans was gonna grenade itself apart..anyone have any similar experiences like this or any input....also if it needs a rebuild what should I do?? .......SHYT!!!

Next time don't put it in R when trying to roll race.

Next time don't put it in R when trying to roll race.

at least if i had done that I would have a reason as to why it destroyed itself. I was doing about 35 mph near where I work and then bam bam bam went the trans.

Work of advice ! Check your rear end before you start driving with new trans!

yeah so i got it back, ran great for 2 weeks, now shifting between 2-3 under light accelerationis kinda "poppy" or "clunky", also for example when i stop at a stop sign and then slowly accel through 1-2 and then coast , it makes a harsh shudder, this shudder is either it shifting back down to 1 or up to 3, i beleive its the 2-3, when its like this its way worse then when i am going from 2-3 and accelerating......??? WTF!!

its back at the shop now, being looked at, but they have "found no problems", i am going to be forced to turn into an asshole.......there has to be something wrong.....transmissions arent supposed to shudder

did you check you rear end like it was suggested? make sure your rear end didnt come apart or break a tooth.

yeah i ahve had the car back for a while. had to take it back once for some fine tuning.....the power transfer is great but every once in a while when flooring it or coasting into second gear it will shudder a bit or make a small clunk.....trans guys said it was fine.....i am debating on whether or not to take it back....its getting old though
