Elminating Wheel Hop

Just wondering what's the most effective way of getting rid of wheel hop. The car is a pretty much stock (intake and exhaust) Z28 M6 that is running on BFG Drag Radials.

I assume LCA's are about the only thing that will do it, but i'm wondering if you guys have some other input.

LCA along with a nice set of Bilstein HD shocks will help your suspension setup big time. Throw on some SFC and a PHR while you're at it.

relocation brackets will do wonders as well as trailing arms to control wheel hop.

LCAs should do the trick for you. I had some bad wheel hop and put on a set of Metco LCAs w/ Relocation brackets and that solved my problem. Any good LCAs should do the trick, you'll love em!

get your shocks first...if that doesnt help, try the lca's. if that doesnt work, relocation brackets. if that doesnt work, it could be your torque arm.

the rear girdle keeps the pumpkin from distorting. which causes the carrier main caps to twist and move out of place. this is waht contributes to breaking teeth off the ring gear. get an aluminum cover with main caps studs on it. what the studs do is let you put pressure on the carrier main caps to limit the movement of them.

I had a wheel hop problem upon hard braking in my 2002 camaro. I tried everything, lca's, relocation brackets, shocks, springs, etc. We noticed that after installing an edelbrock torque arm that the wheel hop stopped, temporarily, but then it returned again. So we lifted the car by the chassis and shook the rear end housing back and forth, and noticed that there was some looseness where the torque arm bolts to rear housing. So, we took off the rear housing, drilled and tapped the holes and installed bigger bolts. This stopped the wheel hop, temporarily. So we checked it out again and found that the bolts were coming loose. So we drilled and tapped a 3d bolt hole and used lock-tite. So far, no wheel hop on braking. I wonder why Moser or Strange does not make a rear housing with a 3d bolt hole? Seems like it would be a good idea. Oh, and by the way, I am the Purple Drifter, the only person on earth who drifts a late model f-body. I really would like to see some of you guys start drifting your cars. With shortened steering arms, and this fix to the rear housing, drifting in an f-body is a snap. If you do not want to go through the hassle of having to make a bracket to shorten your steering arms, don't worry, I am making some bolt-on f-body drift spindles that will soon be available to the public.
