I drive a 99 ws6. I've been having problems with my tranny ever since the line came off about 5 months ago. I didnt drive the car at all when it came off( i was letting it warm up when it came off). What it is doing is when i get on it, it pops out of gear and hits the rev limiter. It also will not downshift on its own, you can manually do it but it will pop out if you floor it in first or second. Everytime I change the fluid it will upshift fine at wot but it still wont downshift on its own. Sometimes I also get a wierd vibration and a thumping feeling on the floor board when i get on it. It has a 3000 TCI stall also. Could the converter be slipping?? Sprag letting go?? Or could it just need a good flushing??

Thanks
Brandon

Thump and vibrations are likely your trans mount and or your torque arm mount,
As for shifting issues the cutting loose does not sound good but in the absence of codes I would likely try a TPS "throttle position sensor "

The thumping and vibration is definetly not the torgue arm or trany mount it feels like the tranny is getting stuckin between gears beause when it does it the car isnt pulling at all. The tps could caus it to pop out of gear?? Would the tps throw a code??

Thanks

TPS does throw a code. Its a 15 dollar part that is very easily replaced. It would cause the torque converter to lock and unlock such and mine did. Ive replace all these of these parts listed and still have the issue myself.
