Had a TON of fun at this track with the CiSCC today. This track was freakin awesome! Felt like being in a video game b/c of all the buildings and twists/turns. sooo much fun :drivin:

for maximum enjoyment: turn up the volume

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yFg99D3CCw

my worst time: 64ish, my best time, 61.083
i need better tires, these street ones are terrible. the other f-body guys were tearin' it up with low/mid 50's and they were rollin on some serious rubber!

thanks! I was so happy-i couldn't believe I didn't hit any cones! Almost looked like i tapped one on the 2nd vid through the first chicago box, but i don't recal him saying +1 at all so i guess it stayed in the little chalk border they draw on the ground.

nice... before you get into better tires, i think you are better off concentrating on your skill improvement... not bad... but lot of room for improvement... and street tires will allow you to focus more on those skills since the limit is set lower than R-compounds.
remember, lots of things happen extremely fast in AutoX... lots going on... so improve the smoothness and skills before increasing the grip level, making things even faster, and more overwhelming.
Great video, though !

LT1 with true duals, roll cage, MASSSIVE 315 + slicks's on all corners, stripped interior...the car was a rocket. The driver was a very nice guy too-he gave me a few tips. The guy who took 1st was in a 400lb bright green go-kart

whats the diff. number mean?
i have no clue...where's SOW and Eugenio??

whats the diff. number mean?

it's the time difference from your closest competitor... ie the guy 1 position above you.
if you add all the above diff values and yours, should give you the diff from first value.

If you're 4th, it's the difference between the 3rd and 4th.

wow, E!! thanks for the uplifting comments! I was afraid of your critique but i appreciate the heads up! :worship:

no problem... always here to help ;)
btw, in order to improve @ a much faster rate, I recommend to walk the course with some of the faster guys... tell them you are a newbie and ask for pointers as you walk the track... ask him questions about what he think you should do here, or any pointers on how to read the line as you walk.

Also, you can ask to have an experienced driver run shotgun so he can give you pointers on where to improve.
If you go there to learn and focus on that aspect, you'll end up doing better... if you just try to be competitive, you'll end up not so competitive... ironic, isn't ?

Glad to see you like the experience...
remember... it's fun and a great learning experience... that's how i started it.

E, what do you do through hair-pin turns? This past sunday had like 3 of them and the ws.666 wasn't diggin' them at all

depending on how tight they are, they are sometimes tighter than the turning radius of our cars... in that case, I heal and toe into 1st, coming to almost a stop, and ten transfer the weight to the rear accelerating and making the curve.
Just don't go into the hairpin too hot... you'll lose time, speed, tires.
