So I am driving down route 30 in my Grand Prix GTP (I haven't picked up an f-body yet) and I get caught at a light. A Mercedes CLS65 AMG pulls up next to me. Now, I did not know anything about this car before I raced it and thought hey, I'll give it a shot. I look over at him and he looks at me and I point at the light. It goes green and we both hit it and he pulled about 4 cars on me and just kept pulling. He beat me by BUS LENGTHS! I looked the car up right when I got home because I wanted to know what it had, it ends up being a 604hp twin turbo v12.:Owned:

Fun death.

Cool that the guy actually raced. Most people with the fast Mercedes don't seem to want to race.

Just to let you know and maybe make you feel better....Even if you HAD a FBody you still might have been owned, they are FAST

Oh I know I still would have been owned, but at least not by football fields.

I'm actually looking into a SLK AMG hardtop vert for the wifey next summer, used of course, I found one in the mid $30's. Real nice! SLK or CLK AMG I forget which one it was. Not as fast as what you raced but still a real nice ride at that. She saw the $15k-$16k jump from the AMG model and the regular model and I fed her the "No no no we need the AMG version" and she bit

if it was the hardtop cov. it was a slk. clks are typical softtops. although clk 55's are 5.5 litre naturally aspirated v-8 pushing over 300 horses. slk amgs (pre 2005) are slk 32 amg's and are a supercharged v-6 making around 320 horse i believe. both are fun, slk is a little more fun to drive imho.
