T-top shades, in or out?

I leave mine in all of the time.
I think it looks better, and it keeps the sun from pissing me off.
What do you guys prefer?

I take mine out in the summer and put them in in the winter. not sure why I just do it that way.

I used to take them off all the time when I first got the car, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread...

But now after 2+ years...I only take them off on special occasions...like sunny day...breezy night....or when Im just in a good mood.

I had them off tonight when I murdered that ricer :D

Keep mine in keeps my leather safe and keeps in nice and dark on the inside with the all around tint.

I like to take them off at night though. Especially when it's too

Some of the original owners threw them out thinking they were useless. I only had them with one of the three T/A's I had. They were even in the plastic bag. I was surprised to get them actually.

I do have dark tint all around and it does make it darker inside.(cooler also) I also like looking up at the sky and moon & stars. Here lately the lighting!

Yeah, we know about the lightening here also! Tornadoes ripping thru Indy, Camp Atterbury, destroying the little town of Moscow IN. This past 10 days has really been stormy. It is thundering right now and raining! Lost my power for 14 hours, internet for 3 days.

I only occaisionally use the shades. I prefer to see thru the top also. But if we are going on a trip, on hot sunny days, that's when they go on.

Yeah the first 2 I bought didn't have them. Though I bought a pair for my first camaro. When I sold my first Camaro I took them out of it and put them into the one I just bought.
Those things aren't cheap.

I've never used my shades. They are always off. And still in the protective plastic they came in. Haha. But yeah, they do protect more of the sun from coming in and making your car hotter. But if its hot out and when I get in my car and the inside is hot too then I just take the T-Tops off. And when im at work and its hot I just open my windows alittle, which is no biggie to me cause my car is constantly in my view at work.

I put some chrome reflective tint on them, because I live on a tropical island. I rarely use the inserts and my vehicle doesn't get hot. I take them out rarely, since it will scorch your skin after a couple hours of sunlight here.

When we bought my wifes car, it didn't come with them either. Doesn't even have the velcro on the tops. I guess the orig. owner didn't want to spend the extra money. It really sucks, b/c we live in south texas where it gets umm "warm".

I've used them on other T-top cars I've owned but they'd snap in. I don't use them in my car now cause I don't want the little velcro stickers on there. I like looking out the top anyway.

I have had my Z a little less than a year now and have never put them in. When I bought the car last year the first owner still had them in the plastic. When I took it to get the windows tinted I had the tint shop but a piece of 5% tint on the T-tops.

My car is so much cooler with the t-top shades in and a sun shade in. Not hot at all when I go out now, was about 150 degrees without the shades.

there had been times that I took mine out at night and forgot or just too lazy to put them back in and the next afternoon I find my car's interior very hot and I think to myself what a Stupid S**T I was for not doing it...So yes I think it does keep the car cooler

I just bought my car and it had the t-top shades in the trunk that have never been used. They still have that cardboard over the sticky part that you're supposed to attach to your t-tops.

They're still sitting in my trunk. :p

Living in Arizona with extreme heat in the summer and the damage that the sun can do to the interior makes me leave mine in ALL the time. I'd hate to have to get new interior and a new dash because they dried out and cracked.

At least you have a white car to help mitigate the heat. So, you have to park your car at work outside in the sun? Do you have one of the shades for the front window? They help a lot. I am lucky, I park my car where it is only 20 feet from me and I can leave the windows down all the time (unless rain!), this helps to make the dash and interior last longer.
