from what ive been told as far as being a good balance between street-ability and performance is the 3.42's. They are one of the factory options, i have them, 3.73 is another good one. 2.73's ive heard are too high for the A4, but good in an M6. $.10's are just too low for the street

go with 3.73s. as far as brand I dont know. i have Richmand and they are a little noisy. i have been told that they tend to be more noisy than other brands.

3.73..period...brand really doesnt matter much...if properly installed ..they will not whine anymore then stock...but alot of people improperly install gears...even seasoned mechs.

breaking the gears in properly will help with the noise too.

Go stall before gears.

If leaving the line hard is what your after, I'd say stall first. Of course w/ all my A4 cars, I go tires first, stall second, then gears - that's if i'm not doing all three at the same time ;)

3.73 for A4. I have Strange 3.73s with an M6, which works well for my purposes since it's never seen a drag strip, but occasionally frequents a track now and then.

4.10's are terrible in an A4 street car.
