In the process of installing pacesetter (race) LT's last weekend, my buddy and I managed to break a hose inlet on the bottom of the p/s res.
I checked with Autozone and they don't carry just the res. I got one from the dealer and it has been redesigned, for some reason the new res isnt matching up with the p/s pump. The new one is angled on one side.

Just hoping they didn't redesign the pump also.
Has anyone replaced the p/s res on their car? If so, does this sound like the part you used?
Also, I've got a pulley install tool, but any tips on how to get the pulley back on?
Thanks a billion. (this is the only thing keeping mee from hearing my open headers right now!!):spit:

bro, you gotta problem i can't find one either and lt1 res. doesn't fit. only solution is buy a new pump to get res. if it comes like that, buy the stainless steel one for like 150.00 or drive without it. i like it without my intention was to just get one the next week and couldn't find it so i drove with out it and loved the responsiveness and the wheel doesn't give anymore like it used to. only problem is tight parking.

as it turns out, the dealership's computer catalog that said use the 'redesigned res" did not have an engine specification, so it wasnt really for the LS1...just a generic p/s res.
ended up they took it back and i got the LS1 p/s res kit, which is OEM replacement. everything fit back together no problems. just got the ORY on last night.
needs tune BAD but started it up, loud as fawk! pacesetter race LT, ORY, SLP catback.
