I'm getting ready to do a trans swap on my M6 to an A4. The car is a 2000 SS, mods are: AFR heads/LG G5X3 cam (23x/24x .600/.610 on 114) FAST 90 intake FAST 90 TB, pacesetter LTs and ORY, I have a wet 125 shot and a handful of other bolt ons... The car is making right now about 420 at the wheels and my power band is HIGH, peak HP at about 6600. Obviously looking for something good from the dig. Any helpwould be great

3800, 4000 or 4400. Do you want a lockup on it or not?

Is it your daily driver, or a toy? I am guessing toy with those mods, I hope you don't daily drive that monster anyways.

Well it's a toy until my Honda goes down. Still wanna maintain SOME street worthiness but obviously something thats gonna handle the power at the track

Most 4000 and up stalls don't have a lockup, meaning they never close and your RPMs will always stay up and your gas mileage will suck. If you want to be able to drive on the streets some, I would get a 3800 or be sure its got a lockup. Otherwise you will be driving around on the streets with your RPMs floating around 3500-4000 or higher all the time.
