I have a kenwood receiver in my car with kick panels and amped front speakers and a amped sub in the back. While my stereo was in the shop for repairs i installed my stock deck and was listening to the radio on my commute. The radio reception was 200% better atleast than my 500 dollar kenwood deck. I installed my deck after it was repaired and i get the same whistle on some AM stations and some static on cetian FM stations. I got niether the static or the whistle on my stock deck last week. The static and whistle are only there when the signal isnt very stong. Anyone have any advice on how to make my kenwood deck get as good of reception as my stock deck. Could it have to do with the antena cable being close to the power lines for my amps? Thanks in advance for the help.
