ls1 but lt1 still has plenty of potential. :yup: and the lt will be a lil cheaper than an ls if thats an issue for ya

all depends on money really. you cant go wrong either way really, the lt1 is going to have a few more reliability issues simply because of being an older car. i know people with both and they both run really stong and respond very well to mods. they are just different animals

If you got the money I recommend LS1. I have one of each. The LT1 is a different beast and by no means a bad engine. The LS1 is just alot more dependable and alot more powerful out of the box.

I guess I didn't understand you. Most would not recommend trying to upgrade a v6 to a lt1/ls1 or an lt1 to an ls1.

There is alot of work involved and for the money and effort you would be better off putting a supercharger on the v6 or getting rid of it and getting ahold of a stock v8 car.

Just my .02 though.
