I am having trouble with a decision. :brick: My choices are to send in my hooker short tube headers, and have them Jet-Hot coated for $280... or to just get a new set of already Jet-Hot coated long tube headers for $600. I am trying to spend the least amount I can, but I don't know if I will regret the short tube headers with the hotcam I want to install. Don't the short tube headers take away hp and tq? Do they really make that big of a difference? :dunno: What would you guys do???

Neither, I would buy a brand new set of coated LT Pacesetters for less than $400... PM me for the link, they used to sponsor this site but I haven't seen them since the crash.

There is a pretty good difference between a longtube & shorty... In my opinion if you are going to go through the trouble of installation, buying new gaskets, bolts, whatever, you might as well get longtubes and get the best bang for your buck. The only way I would have shorties is if I lived in California or some other state hell-bent on emissions.
