raced a BMW 545i today-- I put about 3 lengths on him from 60- 105 mph.

I slowed down, he (mid 40s gentleman) pulled up beside me, I gave him a thumbs up, as we rolled to a light, he said man that thing will really go. I said yeah it does alright. We hit that red light (on a 55mph rd)-- I looked at him. and paced his take off- I would call it a "spirited" take off, but not a full blown drag race take off-- at about 20 mph- I floored it and went through Middle of third gear, (maybe 85mph or so)

He was slowly fading away.

Fun stuff- made me feel better- because my track time sucked (due to my take off)-- I managed a 13.66 @ 104.43 MPH-- with a horrible 2.26 60ft.

I'm trying to figure out why I have better traction on regular roads compared to the prepped track??

do you roll through the water box at the drags?

Yeah (I have to though)-- there isn't enough room to go around it.

I spin them to get the water off, but I don't "smoke them"

That is one sucky track if it doesn't allow room to go around the water box. And I thought Sac Raceway was bad.

I guess --Pittsburgh Raceway park, is really my only option.

Anyone have any encounters with 5 series BMW-- just trying to get input on the actual race itself.

but, your front tires roll through them so while your waiting for the light to turn green the water is dripping off the front tires, then once it does turn green your back tires roll through the water your front tires dripped off, causing bad traction :(
