Im pulling my tranny in my 02, ive taken out all the bolts, nothing should be supporting the tranny other than the jack, and it still wont come out. Is it possible that the dipstick tube is whats supporting it?

Not so much supporting it, but there is a bolt holding the dipstick to the back of the passenger side of the motor.
You need to slide the tranny back so it will release from the output shaft.

Mine is a 2001 and the writeup I read said that it would have a bolt and it did not. did they change it or something?

The dipstick is kind of a PITA to get in and out.

Are you sure that you got all the plugs and the vent hose thing taken off the top of the transmission?

Has the trans. seperated from the engine block? Sometimes the trans. sticks to the dowel pins in the engine. You need to pull the trans. a 1/2 inch away from the engine before you can lower it.

the dipstick will not be holding it from coming out. there is a bolt on the back of the passenger head holding it in place. you do not have to unbolt it. the issue is it is sticking on the dowel pins. what i did was jack the back of the trans up until the bellhousing seperates from the oil pan. put a screwdriver in the gap and let the trans down. this will help pull it off the two dowel pins located at 3 and 9 o'clock positions. here's a write up i did when i first removed my trans.
