No Reverse!

Yesterday I pulled into my driveway and everything was fine. later on that day I go to back out and put it in reverse and nothing happens...so I'm sitting in reverse and not moving so i give it some gas. the RPM's go up to 2000 exactly and it won't go any higher...Bottom line is: park is park, reverse is park, neutral is DRIVE, 1 2 d & D are forward gears, and a rev limiter of 2000 RPM's. Has this happened to anybody else? if so how did u fix it. i dont know a lot about cars so ANY help will be Greatly appreciated.

sounds like you should probably (carefully) take it to your mechanic/dealership/whatever... i've never heard of anything like that. maybe someone else has...

You likley have a seized forward clutch . You will need to rebuild or replace the trans:(, Give me a call if I can be of any help
