Hello all.. Im new to the board and new to the GM stuff. Im an old ford guy who couldnt beat em so I had to join em. I have an 02 WS6. I have been running the car at the strip some recently and have gotten some pretty decent times. My car is stock exept a SLP lid, Free Mods, and B&B Cat Back. Im running pretty consistant times (8.20's and 8.30's) at any where from 85 to 89 MPH. Im running on street tires and running the front sway bar loose. Im looking to get in the high 7's without gettting crazy with the car. Everyone tells me to go with the MT Et Streets and I should get there... But im afraid that crap(rear end /axles etc) will start breaking then. My 60 Ft times are 1.90... very consistant with the street tires. Would it hurt the car to go with a 100 shot? Im thinking the ZEX Set up but not sure which route to go.

I have heard that maybe I should do Headers etc first.

The car has 28,000 miles on it and does have an LS6 Block. Any suggetions or tips?

Thanks
Steve

100 shot is great. Wet or dry, just get a window switch with that M6.

Does a window switch turn it on at a set RPM then Off at another Set RPM?

Thanks
Steve

A 100 shot won't hurt anything, you could add a little insurance by upgrading your ignition with A window switch, and a MSD 6al with the soft touch rev limiter. I normally run high octane such as 103 for insurance. But again ET streets, and a touch of nitrous, and a stock clutch with a stock rear end is an accident waiting to happen. By using a nitrous controller, or setting a window switch to come on at a higher rpm you could prolong the life of the rear end, but as I said its an accident waiting to happen. Take the rear cover off the rear end and see how cute it is. Kevin
