well i have had a slight clunking noise from my differential on coasting and when going downhill......the other day I was a coasting to a traffic light and heard loud grinding and the clunking was very pronounced....so i took the housing cover off and there are NO shavings, no teeth missing, crystal clear gear fluid....everything looks perfect inside No scratches nothing. I put in new gear fluid, etc drove it and its still there but not as loud. WTF is going on?? Pinion nut???? my u-joints looks good too.

Did you rotate the rear with the tires in the air to ensure everything was peachy?

yes sir, rotated and rotated, everything was fine no grinding when i did it, its nly with a load on the rear end i guess, i mea i watched it as i rotated and it was smooth as silk..... also i have 3.73 in there. i didnt know stock you could get 3.73....41 teeth on ring.....11 on pinion
