[LT1 > LS1]

well, i was comin home from work in my 1999 ranger. 3.0 v-6 auto, 2wd, single cab short box. and i pulled up to this light, and this girl in a cavalier stopped next to me. next thing ya know her tires squeal, and she off. i didn't even know we were racin!!!!! so, i give it some more gas, and then i floored it, it kicked down into 1st, and upshifted at 40 mph. this is with the 3.73 axle, so the motor was screamin. i hit about 50 mph, catch her, and by 60 mph, i walk right past her. so, off the line she pulled me by about 2 cars, I caught up, and then put 2 cars on her, then i had to slow and make a turn. it was exciting.

It can be fun if the two cars are evenly matched. I had many races in my F150 against average cars, never boring.

i know its no ls1. not many 16 yr old kids have an ls1. its a kill.


i raced a s-10 blazer from a 15 roll. i got a good jump on him ,and kept on pulling. his 4.3 vortec couldn't keep up. then we raced from a dig, and i got the jump again, but he walked around me at about 60 mph. i had a fat kid i the passenger seat, full tank of gas, and 6 sandbags in it at the time. he had a 1/4 tank, and no one in the car with him. i am calling him out again.

so, i am gonna be at least 500 pounds lighter. thats a big difference.
