I hear you might want to grab a gm gasket before you start dismantling things. Take pics...

You need 5 hours and about 33' of ground clearance to get the headers up in there. atleast thats what i needed for my Hooker Super Comps. It was a pain in the @$$.
Also you are going to need O2 Extensions if you dont already have them. ALso you might need new sparkplug wires with an angled boot. (depending on the headers)

On my 2000 TA that i had i used stock wires and they burned through a couple wires and had a crazy miss. So you might want to look into Taylor brand angled boots wires.

also watch out for ya starter wires. i fried mine onto my headers, because i was too eager to hear what they sound like.

some one told me that i would need corvette rear o2 sensors, that they work better or are cheaper than the extensions. anybody know?

ive got 8.5mm MSD wires on the way for when i put on my coated pacesetter LT's. do you think these wil work? and the headers are coated, do i still need to worry about them burning through?
