It was a beautiful NC day today, so I washed up ole Betsy and took her out for...a spin.

After I wasted a 1/4 tank with no luck I headed back home. That is when I ran up on some guy driving a red LT1 Z28 with an SLP loudmouth and black 96 SS wheels. He punched it trying to getaway, and I reeled him in easily twice, but that Z was pretty mean sounding. Then I got in front and laid on the throttle and put him in the dust.

While I was fartin' around with the red Z lo and behold a mazda miata with padded roll bars, lowered, nice wheels, black with silver racing stripes (yeah, I know, but kind of baddass to be honest) rolls onto 70 behind us, and he has some hottie with him. (trying to impress no doubt)

I threw him a rev when he is right beside the catback, him and his woman were smiling ear to ear on that NASCAR tune. We both punch it and cone about 3 cars in a row then pulled to 115 or so in a straight away, but something caught my ear. I could have sworn I heard a roots blower when this guy punched that Mazda. I put some lengths on him, but I think the Mazda put the old butthurt on the LT1 in turn.

We come up to a light, and they are behind me, and still wanting to race. I leave a nice set of lines going across the intersection, he flies up, then we take off again, I put another whuppin' on him. I slow to 55, and he pulls up beside, we give the thumbs up, and he punched it, and there is NO DOUBT that car had a fkn blower on it. Can you believe it, a fkn Mazda Miata! It sounded just like an 03 Eaton, that shrill whistle.

Dang, that thing looked like a hopped up go cart, and pretty damn cool too, with those racing stripes...not to mention the blower. :worship:

Wish I could have gotten a pic of that little contraption.

I had a 2000 Toyota MR2 Sypder- with aftermarket (turbo, exhaust, intake, suspension, etc..) -- @ 10 psi ---I bought it that way---

I had it for about 8 months, and it was fun. But it was no LS1.

And my dream of having an LS1..was due to be fulfilled.

So I can vouch that 2-seater turbo, go carts are fun.. But just not the same.

Not all imports are rice...I think this story proves that there are some pretty badass Tuners out there.

I wouldn't mind that Mazda being in my driveway. Sure would be a fun road-course toy!

I have dropped turds that weighed more than a miata, and they looked better too...

You must have some work done to those turds...

It's quick and can corner like no other. I'm keeping it stock tho, no point in trying to make a DD a racer as well...besides I can stomp pretty much every ricer out there and I can hang with pre-05 Mustangs (6-Speed ftw)
