View Full Version : lots of UNWANTED scratches

i have a 2000 trans am with a lot of surface scratches some deep but not to the paint
it is mostly on the doors and rear fenders
i dont know how to get rid of it
i've polished the car before but it is still there
any suggestions? and good products?
what about rubbing compound???
any info. would be nice, thanks.

Go get it professionaly detailed. I wouldn't try anything else unless you know what your doing. Usually a total exterior car detail will cost you anywhere from $75-$150. Depending on where you go. Good luck

you can use a clay bar, cleaner wax, wet sand if its that bad, and there are swivel mark removers out there i rocommend the 3M product

yeah i would advise either rubbing compounds with a high speed buffer or even sand paper (1000-2000 grit wet sandpaper) but the easiest way without all the work would pay someone to do it for you =) saves a LOT of time and effort

1500 grit wetsand paper, medium cut polish, wax.
