View Full Version : NEW V8 GRAND PRIX....killed

On my way to work today I was watchin' one of those new V8 GP's. Real nice lookin' Black with Black wheels, lowered, tinted (prob like 5%), and some nice oversized chrome exhaust tips. I got up close to it to take a better look, and whoever was driving it got behind me and started riding my ass. I ignored em' for a bit, but couldn't help myself when he tried to gun it by me. I punched it just as he was about to pass ( I was doin 60). My tires broke loose on the down shift, and I was still 10 cars ahead by 120. I let off, to let him catch up. Went from a 55 roll, and then a 70 roll. He never had a chance.

Kinda disappointed... pontiac didn't make them faster.

what kind of v8 are they equipped with? LS4?

Not sure which ls series it is but it has a 5.3L 303hp. My brother just bought one. Its real nice and pretty quick, but nothing like an ls1.

okay cool...yeah i believe the 5.3L is the LS4..sounds freakin cool though!!

it was bad ass lookining... hopefully there is a S/C or turbo setup available. There should be no such thing as a slow V8 pontiac anymore.

nice kill front wheel drives suck anyway you cut it though.

I test drove a gxp...they have torque-steer like crazy....

they seem faster dving them than they really are. no match for our f-bodies

..are you sure he was on it? Sounds like he didn't really care...secondly, yes the engine is the LS4. A couple of these drive around my work, was always wondering what it'd be like to race one, never got the chance yet though. And I don't see why front wheel drive is so bad. I had two GTP's, they held their own, and I've won alot of races with them before I traded the last one, a 99 2 door with 30K on it in for the Trans Am. I actually miss the car, but I always wanted a Trans from the start.
