Has anyone built one of the SLP LS1 402 strokers? What kind of power and torque figures should one expect using the AFR 225 heads and cam SLP sells as a pair?

Also, the engine will be built using an iron block 5.3 Vortec. Will there be any problems boring the block out to 4.00" and clearancing for the 4.00" stroke? What would be the cylinder wall thickness after boring to 4.00"

Thank you and God bless

I would recommend any other company build the motor for you.

5.3 can't be bored nearly that far, you'll be lucky to get a 3.90" bore, you can buy a new 6.0 bare block for about $650 why bother with the 5.3 block. With a 402 with a decent heads and cam setup 450-500rwhp is doable.
