getting screwed need help

I bought my car in October and I bought a extended warranty My tranny just went out a couple weeks ago I wanted them to put a new tranny in but they would only cover a used one and they wanted to ship it to a different shop cause the labor rate at the shop i usually go to was too high anyways so they take it this shop and they install the tranny but now they say its not clicking into gear like its in gear but its not lining up on the console and it dose not click you gotta hold it the to keep it in gear. Its sucks cause I cant afford to pay the difference and have it done at the shop i trust and i cant pay the difference to have new tranny put in.

Sounds like they need to adjust the linkage or they have the wrong shift linkage lever installed.

tell the place you bought the tranny that they got what they paid for labor wise and it's their issue, not yours. Don't let them strong arm you. If the thing lined up before they pulled the tranny and now it don't it's pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together on that one. Keep all your documentation in case it gets ugly.
