I was wondering if you could weld on a set of bolt-in sfc's. The reason I ask, is my buddy has a set of SLP Bolt-In SFC's, that he wants to sell. But, I really prefer the weld-in, due to the possibility of the holes elongating or the bolts coming loose. Could you bolt the subframe connectors on and then weld them...just like you would on a weld-in set?

I have ran bolt in SFC's(like the Kenny Brown Double Diamond or SLP ones)look the same just different company for over 2 years and not even 1 loose bolt. Holes look great too and no problems. I also have drag raced the car 200+ times and never missed a CCCA race in 2 seasons and they are still like when I first installed them. They are the same thing bolt in or not when it comes to welding them, so the bolts in ones will weld in fine. I did have 1 time after the LT header install and doing the driveshaft safety loop I needed to loosen them.

I had SLP bolt-ins for a few years also. Put about 45k miles on it, over a 100 passes at the track and a couple of road course events. No problems to report. I would check them every other oil change, but they never were loose.
