I was wanting to get my calipers powder coated but I wanted them to match my TB. I hear that I can't get them coated the same color because the color will fade from the heat. Can you tell me what you think

Well it was someone that works at a powder coating shop that told me that. I had them do my wheels and they came out great. I just didn't see how it was possible since I had seen it done before and my TB has held up just fine.


They said it had something to do with that type of powder

hey 01 red ws6 "they" sound like idiots...powdercoat doesnt fade unless u dont take care of it and its exposed to the sun alot....which will never happen....what u should do is polish them and then have the guy in here that powdercoats...powdercoat them in a clear red...that way they looks anodized red:burnout:

I have an entire exhaust powder coated from behind the headers back, standard powder coating. Headers would need a hi-temp powder, anways it`s holding up fine even with a shine after 3 years.:burnout:

There is a place in Chesapeake VA that'll do them for 85 a piece, or 75 a piece for military. That's gloss black for the factory Z28 16's. I haven't done it yet, but I may eventually. Of course not sure what I'll do with the car when it has no wheels on it lol.

I've got a question as well..I'm looking into the black-chrome ZR1's and I wanted a silver lip put on them, where abouts do you think I could have this done? Or is it even possible?

Are you still doing powdercoating? If you still do I want to powdercoat my hood grill and nose badge and was wondering if you still do it about how much do you think that would cost.

can you powder coat stock rims to look like, or better looking than chrome or the polished rims. if you have done this, or have had this done i'd love to see some pictures.
