I've seen alot of threads where people are talking about the updated clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder for the pre 2001 cars. I realize that the slave is usually the culprit but I was curious if anybody has fixed their "pedal sticking to floor" problem with a clutch master cylinder and not the slave?

I replaced my clutch master cylinder a couple of weeks ago and I no longer have a problem. My pedal was sticking constantly, especially in traffic, and the only way it would come up (once it got stuck) was by me pulling it up with my foot. I replaced it with the updated unit that GM now sells for it. The old part number has been superseded so you can't go wrong. The new unit comes pre-bled and is fairly easy to replace if you get your hand below the brake master clyinder to reach the u-bracket that holds the clutch master in place.
My slave cylinder and clutch are original with 70k miles.
Goodluck!

Yes, replace the clutch slave & MC from a 2001 up car & do the drill mod while your at it.
The pedal will not stick & shifting will be smoother & quicker.
