i'm only planning on a 400rwhp car but i've heard that these transmissions will usually only support about 350hp before running into some serious problems. also have been advised to look into a 4l80e swap. this car is my dd but i would still like to have a 400rwhp car just cause thats how i am. i've got a pretty good deal on a tremec 5 speed but i'm not sure if the swap would even be cheaper or even practical since this is a dd and my wife also drives once a week and is not good with a manual. but as far as i'm cocerned it's more the reason for her not to drive my car:naughty: so i'm basically wondering how much power can be thrown at a stock 4L60E?

Just beef up some of the internals like maybe level 2 from one of our trans sponsors and you should be good at that level. I tore mine up mostly stock so there is no magic number on what it will/will not hold.

I have seen guys run that high with the stocker However its definatly pushing beyond the limits of the stock trans, But you dont have near enough power to realy consider a 4L80E with the increased weight and considerable exspense that would be involved in such a swap . I would if I were you consider our levels 1 or if you really like to beat on it our level 2 should serve you well also.
